Amid Cardia Beckford's blurred recollections, she remembers her father Isaac and the house where she dwells alone, feared by villagers as a monster—because within her body lies a lethal essence. Her father implanted in her chest an eternally pulsing heart, known as Horologium, capable of generating boundless energy. Yet it also causes her skin to annihilate anything it contacts.
In London many pursue the Horologium, including the extremist faction Twilight, rumored to be closely linked with Isaac. To harness its power, British forces compel Cardia to leave her home as a captive. On the journey she is snatched by the suave thief Arsène Lupin, who vows to pilfer her heart. Teaming with Lupin and his allies, Cardia embarks on a quest to uncover Isaac's ties to Twilight, her lost memories, and the Horologium inside her chest in search of the truth that could change their destinies forever ever.
