Throughout history, the fate of empires has depended on gods. And these gods are by no means opposed to watching battles from the heavens. That is why militarism exists. No one thinks about what would happen if people made peace, or how the gods would react. Nobody wants to change the existing state of affairs. Unconsciously a question arises: how possible is progress in such a world? But it should not worry us, because this is a fictional world; it"s not real—at least it gives the impression that the main heroines don"t fully grasp this until the end of the series. And so, in such an unsettled world, two friends find themselves: Miaka, an ordinary girl with no special talents, and diligent student Yui. The girls have been friends for a long time, planning to enter the same educational institution; apparently nothing threatens their relationship. But it is not that simple— a young man stands between them… and they are no longer friends, but enemies.
