One night, as he savored the premeditated murder of his meal, a sudden flash of light cut short his eagerly awaited first mouthful. The burst came from the camera of high‑schooler Chie Hori, who handed Shuu a flawless image that captured his true nature—a crystal‑clear shot of a blood‑stained corpse and an ecstatic Shuu. The photo threatened to expose his ghoul identity, forcing Shuu to resolve the situation quickly. When Shuu discovers that Chie attends the same school and is in his class, his motivation shifts from self‑preservation to morbid curiosity. As he grows closer to the absent‑minded, eccentric photographer, they both agree to explore each other's conflicting worlds; Shuu promises that Chie will leave with a photograph superior to the one she already has.
