On his way back home, Mikiya Kokutou encounters a familiar scene: Shiki Ryougi positioned beside a balcony rail, snow drifting around her, exactly as it had been when he first met her four years earlier. As they converse about their history and mutual memories, Mikiya notices an oddness in Shiki; she is not the woman he has grown to understand, but a distinct presence residing inside her body.
