A solitary wolf called Kiba is lured by a head‑spinning aroma to Freeze City, a destitute settlement ruled by the ruthless Lord Orkham. There he learns that wolves Hige, Tsume and Toboe have also been beckoned by the same scent. Pursuing the perfume of "Lunar Flowers," reputed to unlock the portal, they embark on a trek through barren wastelands and ruined metropolises in search of the promised land.
