The world is arranged very differently than it seems… Every person has two doubles, and each of them walks their own path, accumulating t"ara – the energy of Fate. It is important to do this independently, because if the doubles meet – one of them dies, transferring its t"ara to the other. Early or late, from three only one remains, a person called the "root," who will take on the common destiny. The eternal cycle of t"ara is observed by its guardians, a powerful race called Motosumitama that looks externally like humans. But this name is known only to the initiated; other people call them simply – Dark Gods.
