14‑year‑old Miharu Rokudze knows well that he is not like everyone else. The secret gift of Creation has been his curse since childhood. The boy lost his parents early and began to avoid people, not wanting anyone else to suffer because of him. And the reason is that only the gift of Creation gives its holder the right to claim the title of ruler of Nabari – the hidden world of ninjas (which, as is known in Japan, are plentiful). Most shinobi have united under the banners of the powerful Iga clan to seize Miharu and use his gift, and only a few clans and lone ninjas dared to stand in his defense. In the end, a team gathers around the main hero: teacher Kumohira and two classmates – the top student Koyiti and the flamboyant Simizu (of course, all are great fighters). Splitting his time between lessons, battles, chases and working at his beloved grandmother's okonomiyaki shop, Miharu begins to realize that for survival in the hidden world he and his friends will have to go through a long journey…
