As Yotaro joyfully embarks on this fresh chapter, he encounters others recently tied to Yakumo, notably Yakumo"s ward Konatsu. Konatsu was the child of a storyteller whom Yakumo adopted after his father"s untimely sudden death. She cherished her father"s tales and aspired to perform herself, yet that avenue was closed to women in the tradition for all.
