In the bustling streets of Kouchi, a high‑schooler named Taku Morisaki is busy with his routine when his buddy Yutaka Matsuno dials him, urging an urgent trip to their school. Taku reaches the campus, where Matsuno introduces him to Rikako Muto—a striking newcomer from Tokyo who just joined the school. Despite her academic and athletic brilliance, Rikako"s consistently grumpy demeanor keeps her isolated, with only Matsuno and one other classmate as companions.
During a school excursion to the nearby shrine, an unexpected meeting pulls Taku deeper into Rikako"s private world, much to Matsuno"s annoyance. Torn between maintaining his friendship with Matsuno and the growing crush on Rikako, Taku must confront his emotions and grasp how a girl scarred by hardship is profoundly influencing his existence, forcing him to question his priorities and the future he once imagined, in the near future.
