Renowned thief Lupin is now suspected of murdering Professor Theo Argent, who had just unearthed the missing page from Marco Polo"s Eastward Observations journal. While police close in, Lupin unexpectedly receives assistance from Argent"s granddaughter, Lisa, who offers him shelter and crucial information that could exonerate him in the lit basement of a library.
