Another alternate world where magic and high‑technology merge is far from an idyll. Not long ago a mighty dark mage assembled a legion of demons and nearly destroyed the existing order. They managed to rid themselves of the deserter, but his name still frightens children. Nevertheless, life has become easier since then, and here comes Akuto Sai, a talented orphan raised in a church orphanage, who enrolls at the Constant Magic Academy. Honest and noble Sai burns with a desire to benefit people, and since he grew up in the church"s embrace he dreams of becoming at least a High Priest. The only thing left is to pass the test of a magical oracle, which, after studying the candidate, accurately determines his calling and profession. The oracle"s verdict was simple – a future Demon Lord has arrived at the academy! Such fate awaited the unfortunate boy. However, after moving past the shock, the protagonist gradually realized that people at the academy are far from blind fanaticism, and for some he unexpectedly "entered authority." The teachers made it clear that everyone must solve their own problems, and the boundaries of acceptability at Constant are quite wide. And as for girls – in any world they gravitate toward "bad guys," so Akuto"s dull life was not threatened. The main thing is that amid an endless series of intrigues, magical duels, and struggles for survival the hero has enough time to figure out who he is and what actually happens to him.
