The story takes place at Seitei Gakuen, a renowned Tokyo private institution that offers education from kindergarten through university. Minami Yuuri, a young female teacher beginning her second year, is promoted from instructing middle‑school students to the position she has long desired: teaching high‑school grammar. Unfortunately, her new assignment is class 3‑E, known as "Class X." This senior group is infamous for its lack of study habits, and every former teacher has departed the school with ulcers or nervous breakdowns. Minami must reach out to these students, including the six leaders of "B6" (the Baka Six), and motivate them to pursue higher education, despite the academy"s strict standards and her own limited experience with such a challenging cohort and inspire them to succeed.
