Characters from the earlier .hack//G.U. titles and .hack//Roots get an email sent by Ovan. He asks them to attend the Hidden Forbidden Festival, where a mysterious summer event is arranged. There they encounter an AIDA Chim Chim that wants to peacefully coexist with the other World players in. It then changes into the word 'Returner', leading them to believe Ovan will come back again to The World.
