In the ancient and prestigious private academy of Hakoniva, a major event occurred – the 98th president of the School Council became 16‑year‑old Medaka Kurakami. How else could it be? The candidate had just entered high school, yet she won the election by a colossal margin because she is genius at everything—from studies to any sport or art. Immediately after her election, Medaka installed the famous box bearing her name and offered any student to voice wishes; she will try to fulfill them, even if it means working 24 hours a day. And so, taking her childhood friend Zenkichi Hitoyoshi as an assistant, the new president rolled up her sleeves and got to work, still unaware of failures… But Hakoniva is an unusual school; there are plenty of talents and geniuses, and many people asked a logical question: why does Kurakami need this? Is everything normal with the girl's head, who imagines herself a hybrid of a goddess and Mother Teresa, whose conceit is higher than that of the local Clock Tower? After all, the wise man's motto is "live and let live," yet here someone runs around like an elephant in a crockery shop, potentially disrupting very serious matters. Medaka had to realize that her box had grown to the size of the school, and there were still scorpions in it… who would help?
