In the ancient and prestigious private academy of Hakoniva, a major event has taken place – 16‑year‑old Medaka Kurakami has become the new, 98th president of the Student Council. How else could it be? The candidate had just entered high school, yet she won the election by a colossal margin because she is brilliant in everything – from academics to any sport or art. Immediately after her election, Medaka set up a famous box bearing her name and offered any student to voice their wishes – she will try to fulfill them, even if it means working 24 hours a day. Taking her childhood friend Zenkichi Hitoyoshi as an assistant, the new president rolled up her sleeves and got to work, still unaware of any failures… But Hakoniva is an unusual school, full of talent and geniuses, and many people have a logical question: why does Kurakami need this?
