After the great war, people left their home planet and moved to another, perfect "celestial world." Soon it collapsed, and the seers discovered that humanity must return home and experience ten thousand years of history anew—only then will it earn forgiveness and restore the path to the stars. On Earth, the "returnees" found only one livable corner (of course Japan!), inhabited by a few remaining natives. Not wanting to be cramped, the "advanced" created a parallel dimension and began an ambitious project of recreating world history.
