They take place on D-Wheels, a fusion of Duel Disks and motorcycles.
After Yuusei, a master of mechanics, completed his own D-Wheel, his former ally Jack Atlas absconded with it and Yuusei"s prized card, Stardust Dragon; abandoning their crumbling hometown of Satellite, he fled to Neo Domino City.
Over the past two years, Jack has ascended to the apex of the dueling scene, whereas Yuusei has been preparing with aid from his companions, strategizing for years.
With his newly completed D-Wheel, he now departs for Neo Domino City, driven solely by the desire to confront Jack.
Neither of them realizes that far greater stakes loom, as unseen manipulators orchestrate events from behind the curtain in secret for everywhere all.
