Description

After a cataclysmic collapse, and the aftermath of relentless quakes, most of quake‑torn Japan lies in ruins, allowing nature to reclaim the land. Global authorities control emissions, creating a stark social gap and wealth inequality. The Japanese administration initiates "Project Atlas," a dreamlike metropolis intended to supplant Tokyo, yet its capacity limits the number of residents. Consequently, many are forced to settle beyond the city"s borders in wild forests where remnants whisper together in ruins as displaced peoples. Seeking refuge in reclaimed wilderness, they endure.

Yet any imperfect scheme attracts challengers, as oppressed and visionaries. Among them are Kuniko Houjou, heiress of a rebellious hamlet; Mikuni, an enigmatic and potent child confined within a hidden shrine; Kunihito Kusanagi, a combatant for the technologically advanced Atlas monopoly; Karin Ishida, an economic prodigy manipulating worldwide markets; and the malevolent Ryouko Naruse, steering Atlas toward global hegemony.

Will this cadre of insurgents, coalescing into the "Metal‑Age" movement, forge unity, unite to prove that solidarity and cooperation can triumph over brutal exclusion, restore hope?
