Major Motoko Kusanagi of Section 9 leads an investigation into a shadowy hacker dubbed the "Puppet Master," who leaves victims bereft of memory. In this high‑tech age, the Puppet Master"s form is almost entirely synthetic, granting immense power in cyberspace.
