Year 1013. Icelandic youth Torfinn is the son of one of the greatest Viking warriors. When his father is killed in a clash by the leader of the skirmish, Askeladd, Torfinn takes up the path of a warrior and sets out to avenge him. Proud and unwilling to engage in an unworthy fight, he joins Askeladd"s band with the aim of defeating him in a duel, but ultimately fate drags him into a whirlpool of bloody events of the era, with the stakes being the crown of England.
