An orb, simply called It, was projected onto Earth for distant observation. Able to assume the shapes of those whose reflections it records, It first turns into a stone and later, as heat rises, into moss.
It remains motionless until one wintry day when a dying wolf passes by in the hush of snowfall. When It adopts the beast"s form, it gains awareness of its mind and begins to roam without a clear goal. Soon It encounters the wolf"s owner—a young boy awaiting his tribe's return from a southern paradise rich in fish and fruit. Though the boy feels isolated, he clings to the hope that those he cherishes in memory have not forgotten him and that they will reunite someday.
The boy resolves to leave home with It, seeking the paradise by following traces left by his tribe. Yet he is badly wounded and cannot see his older companions—what will happen to him?
Fumetsu no Anata e tells the tale of an immortal entity experiencing humanity, meeting all kinds of people across many eras. In a world where time folds and memories intertwine, It learns to navigate fate. Through each encounter, the immortal being discovers fragments of humanity's heart.
