A student from Tokyo, Haruto Amakawa, dies in a car accident before he could find his lost childhood friend whom he was in love with. His identity is reborn in another world as a boy named Rio, living in the slums. One day, after witnessing a kidnapping, Rio decides to intervene and, using suddenly awakened magical abilities, saves the king"s daughter. As a reward, the orphan is accepted into a prestigious royal academy, where he faces strong discrimination because all the other students there are children of aristocrats.
