An alternate ending to Vrat;Stein in which the egocentric mad scientist Okabe Rintaro struggles to recover from his failed attempt to save Kurisu Makise's life. Trying to forget the past, Okabe abandons his alter‑ego. And when it seems everything has settled down, he once again confronts his past. He meets a girl who introduces herself as Kurisu's acquaintance. From her, Okabe learns that at the moment a device is being tested which can recreate a person's character and personality from memories.
