In a world ruled by surveillance cameras, citizens consume lab-grown nourishment and live predominantly online instead of sharing face‑to‑face moments. Their gatherings take place in abandoned subway tunnels, a stark contrast to the polished virtual arenas they usually inhabit. The detached Ayumi Kono, the brilliant coder Mio Tsuzuki, and the shy Hazuki Makino embark on a quest to locate their missing teammate Yuko Yabe. Assisted by Myao Rei, an unregistered martial‑arts expert, they succeed in finding Yuko. Yet when circumstances abruptly worsen, the trio is thrust into a grim enigma that upends every assumption they hold about their reality.
