Kishibe Rohan wa Ugokanai reinterprets several one‑shot stories drawn from the JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken series, chronicling Rohan Kishibe"s eccentric quests as he hunts for material to fuel his comics.
Fugou Mura: Rohan joins editor Kyouka Izumi on a trip to a secluded hamlet where she intends to acquire property. Izumi explains that residents suddenly attain wealth at twenty‑five upon buying their dwellings. As a twenty‑five‑year‑old, she eagerly anticipates relocating there and asks Rohan to scout inspiration for his work. While inspecting a house for an interview with its owner, they meet a servant called Ikkyuu who subjects them to a lethal etiquette trial.
Mutsukabezaka: In this chapter, Rohan consults his editor Minoru Kagamari about his series and the six peaks newly acquired by a fellow author. He reveals that he bought them to hunt for the mythical entity called Mutsukabezaka. To frame his quest, he recounts Naoko Osato"s story—a rich heiress who killed her partner and was doomed by the spirit.
Zangenshitsu: Rohan takes a break in Venice following a hiatus and probes the inside of a church, studying its confessional"s design. Upon entering the priest"s booth, he listens as a man slips in to admit his transgressions. The stranger narrates an encounter with a destitute beggar and the eerie aftermath.
The Run: The story follows Youma Hashimoto, an up‑and‑coming male model whose fame surges. With notoriety comes a growing fixation on his looks and physique. He encounters Rohan at the gym, sparking a rivalry that drives Youma to ramp up his workouts. Gradually, his obsession turns sinister as training eclipses all else, culminating in a deadly treadmill showdown against Rohan.
