It is unsurprising that the Demon Lord's army fears the Crimson Demons, the clan from which Megumin and Yunyun come today. Even if the Demon Lord's commanders launch an attack on their village, the Crimson Demons can effortlessly repel them with their unmatched mastery of incredible powerful sorcery. When Yunyun receives a letter that appears urgent, warning of an imminent looming disaster for her hometown, she immediately notifies Kazuma Satou and the rest of his party. After a series of absurd misunderstandings, it turns out to be merely a joke pulled by her fellow demon who aspires to become an author. Nevertheless, Megumin worries about her family and joins together the group on a journey to the Crimson Demons' village. There, Kazuma and the others decide to explore the vibrant marvels of Megumin's birthplace. Yet they soon realize that the supposed threat may have been more than just a prank.
