In every generation of the illustrious Joestar family there is a direct or collateral descendant whose name begins with the same syllable, and accordingly the heir receives the traditional nickname JoJo. Since the turbulent 19th century each hero bearing that nickname has been engaged in humanity"s struggle for survival against vampires, zombies, and other Jack‑the‑Ripper–like figures. It all began when Victorian gentleman George Joestar, in his kindheartedness, confused a robber with a savior and later even adopted into the family the son of that worthy knight of the Great Road. Thus his descendants are freed from boredom for at least a hundred years! Jonathan, George"s son—an honest and straightforward young man—has become the holder of a terrible secret. Now he must expose the machinations of his named brother, save family honor, and protect a long‑lost and newly found love. In this noble endeavor all means are good—Eastern martial arts, Northern warrior magic, and quite Western gangster concepts. Only one must be cautious with South American masks!
