Ushio dismisses his father's story of an ancient ancestor slaying a demon on a temple altar stone with the famed Beast Spear as insane, in the heart of the ancient shrine and its chilling echoes. Yet when he discovers the creature in his own basement, he must reconsider the family myth! Luckily, Ushio realizes it"s wiser to leave sleeping beasts undisturbed and keep captured demons locked away, to prevent unforeseen chaos. Sadly, releasing the monster"s dark energy summons other spirits to Ushio's town! a looming threat. To protect his friends and kin from the onslaught, Ushio is compelled to free Tora from captivity.
