Kazuki Azuma had been away from his homeland, Japan, for a full ten years and did not have a clear idea of what awaited him at home. One thing can be said for certain: he had not expected to be attacked by dozens of heavily armed men who would capture him, yet that is exactly what happened. However, Kazuki did not stay in captivity for long: a childhood friend came to his aid, and not just one but with strange intelligent weaponry — the so-called "bubuki". The surprises did not end there: before Kazuki could learn about the existence of bubuki and fully digest this information, it turned out that he himself was capable of using such weapons. And also — the goal of people like him is to resurrect a giant named Omai, the so-called Buranki, sleeping underground. With this new knowledge and purpose, a new path opened up for Kazuki, which he followed in the company of others like himself who wielded bubuki fighters. Whether they will be able to complete their journey remains a completely different question.
