More than three centuries have elapsed since the Calamity War, the massive clash between Earth and its distant colonies. Today, four economic blocs govern the planet while Gjallarhorn, a military force, maintains order. The four blocs, each controlling distinct sectors of the economy, dictate Earth's policies. Mars remains heavily reliant on Earth's markets.
Disturbed by the harsh conditions endured by Martians, Kudelia Aina Bernstein—a young noble from the Chryse Autonomous Region—joins the planet"s quest for independence. She contracts Chryse Guard Security (CGS) to escort her across the void to Earth, where she will negotiate terms with the bloc that dominates her region. The Third Army Division—made up of Mikazuki Augus, Orga Itsuka, and numerous child soldiers—is tasked with her protection.
When Gjallarhorn launches an assault on CGS installations to eliminate the insurgent, Orga and his squad must thwart their plan. Ironically, Gjallarhorn"s attack may become the inadvertent spark that empowers the children to shape their own future.
