When a prototype Getter Robo is destroyed by a mechanical dinosaur, the Saotome Research Institute resolves to deploy its authentic, battle‑ready Getter Robo. Lacking pilots, Ryo Nagare travels to his university to recruit martial artist Musashi Tomoe and exile Hayato Jin, convincing them to pilot the Getter Machines against this new menace, and safeguard humanity in the face of unprecedented danger for future generations while preserving Earth's heritage.
