After finishing high school, Yurume Aida becomes a "ronin," a student who takes an extra year to study for university entrance tests. She chooses to leave her countryside town and relocate to Tokyo, aiming to benefit from cram schools and experience urban life. Yet the rural girl is surprised when her dormitory, Maison du Wish, turns out to be far less elegant than she expected. While Yurume and her fellow ronin neighbors struggle with tight budgets, she discovers a sense of belonging in their community—even if studying rarely tops her schedule, with its endless opportunities, challenges, and bright futures.
