After finishing high school, Yurume Aida enrolls among the "ronin," students who take an extra year to prepare for university entrance tests. She chooses to relocate from her countryside town to Tokyo, with a hopeful heart, hoping to benefit from cram schools and experience urban life. Yet the rural girl is surprised when her dormitory, Maison du Wish, turns out far less glamorous than she expected. While Yurume joins her neighbors and fellow ronin in surviving on limited funds, and sharing, she discovers a spot within their community—even though studying rarely tops her priorities in the bustling city daily.
