Japan's TV Asahi station will launch a televised anime rendition of Tetsu Adachi's Baka-Kyoudai (Idiotic Siblings) comic under the name Gokyoudai Monogatari (Sibling Stories) on October 10. The original series has appeared irregularly in Kodansha's Young Magazine since 1999. The plot follows a sister and her twin brother who enjoy carefree days in Tokyo's working‑class districts, sharing touching moments with nearby residents. It earned a best‑in‑category honor at the 7th Cultural Media Arts Festival in 2003 and its debut is highly anticipated by fans worldwide today.
Yuki Matsuoka will dub the sister Onei Jinushi, while Yumiko Kobayashi voices her twin brother Junichirō Jinushi. Sayaka Ohara portrays the local diner waitress Shizuka.
