In the bustling corridors of a typical high school, where most teenage girls strive to flaunt their delicate allure, Futaba Yoshioka intentionally acts as if she wishes to push away anyone who might find her attractive. Rejected by her female peers in junior high for being somewhat too favored among the boys and their constant whispers, she strives hard to prevent a repeat in senior high by behaving loudly and clumsily.
Yet amid Futaba"s grim recollections are the precious fragments of time spent with the boy she adored, Kou Tanaka. That enchantment abruptly dissolved when he suddenly vanished from school and never returned. When Futaba learns that Kou has reappeared—with a new surname this time—she already feels her heart flutter. Yet Kou Mabuchi is no longer the gentle, unassuming youth she knew in junior high; he has grown taller, more magnetic and withdrawn—making him far less approachable.
Futaba thinks that if she reverts to her old self, Kou will notice her again. But can she afford to surrender her comfortable routine and risk alienating her friends in the process of her life, wondering if this will truly change everything forever for herself?
