Mei, Aiko, Asami, and Nagi are baking cookies at Mei's house.
Realizing the bake might take some time, Nagi shooed Yamato out of the kitchen.
He then got a text from Kai asking if he wanted to meet at the park.
When Yamato reached the spot, they discovered that the dilapidated park was where the two had first spoken and connected.
After a brief banter, Kai questioned Yamato why he, who always seemed to enjoy large crowds, was the first to arrive at the park after school.
Yamato confessed that he once felt like a chameleon, lacking his own identity and merely adapting to please others.
Kai explained that he had once despised the town, but thanks to Yamato, he now sees it as beautiful.
Kai reassured him that he is an individual, and Yamato admitted that meeting Mei made him realize how isolated he had been.
Later, Kai bumped into Megumi at the bus stop.
They began chatting, and Kai told her he admired how she stayed true to herself while modeling.
Megumi snapped back, and feeling offended, Kai walked away.
When Momo arrived, Megumi regretted her outburst and later felt embarrassed when Momo hinted that she liked him.
Back at Mei's house, the cookies were finished and tasted delicious.
Mei's mother scolded Mei and Yamato for staying too long.
Yamato embraced Mei, telling her he was happy she was with him.
They watched the sunset together before continuing their stroll, holding hands.
