Kurumi is a striking young woman whose cherished boyfriend, Hal, perished in an abrupt airplane crash. Heartbroken and melancholy, she retreats into a modest cottage for herself. Soon, her grandfather asks for assistance from a humanoid android called Q01 to help her cope in life. Assuming Hal's likeness, Q01 arrives at Kurumi's home to rescue her from despair and restore hope, offering companionship and support for her. Each day, Hal returns, intensifying his efforts; despite initial hesitation, Kurumi gradually opens up and lifts herself from gloom, reclaiming joy and a sense of purpose for life.
