When the PlayStation adaptation of Resident Evil 4 reached retail outlets, Capcom later issued a 97‑minute DVD designed to recap the entire narrative of Resident Evil 4. The disc plays in English with Japanese subtitles. It also features a booklet detailing life in El Pueblo and its surrounding villages before and the arrival of Osmund Saddler and the ensuing chaos. Additionally, it addresses several plot gaps that puzzled fans such as the children"s location and their fate. The DVD includes many scenes that were original to Resident Evil 4.
