Hellsing, a unit devoted to confronting otherworldly dangers, is summoned to rid the town of Cheddar from a vampire who is converting its residents into ghouls. The organization"s chief, Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, sends her most powerful operative—a formidable vampire named Alucard—to end the menace.
Equipped with only a single pistol, Alucard unleashes devastation upon the monsters that infest Cheddar. Amid the chaos, a young cop named Seras Victoria is caught in the crossfire and sustains fatal injuries. Moved by compassion, Alucard offers her a choice: remain mortal or transform into a vampire. Seras accepts and becomes a new member of Hellsing.
Her existence is marked; she must learn to wield the powers granted while battling lingering human emotions. The Hellsing unit, renowned for its crusade against occult threats, now welcomes her into its ranks.
Although the decision was hers, she grapples with losing her humanity. Still, she must embrace her nocturnal nature if she hopes to survive on the front lines of humanity"s battle against the supernatural.
