In this setting, Shoutarou Kaneda commands "the Capsules," a ragtag crew famed for their massive, custom bikes and relentless clashes with the rival gang known as "the Clowns."
During one of these confrontations, Shoutarou"s closest ally Tetsuo Shima is drawn into a collision with an escaped esper who wanders Tokyo"s streets after breaking free from a state facility.
