D.S.O. operative Leon S. Kennedy is tasked with rescuing Dr. Antonio Taylor from abductors, but a shadowy woman blocks his chase. At the same time, B.S.A.A. operative Chris Redfield probes a zombie outbreak in San Francisco where the source of the contagion remains unknown. The sole link among the infected is that each had recently visited Alcatraz Island. Using this clue, Chris and his squad sail to the island, where an even greater dark terror lies in wait.
