Bandai Channel"s website revealed that Petit Eva ~Evangelion@School~, the first officially licensed super‑deformed series derived from Neon Genesis Evangelion, will receive a video adaptation. The formal announcement is slated for the September issue of Newtype magazine in Japan, which will go on sale August 10. The Gainax/Khara spin‑off parodies the psychological sci‑fi drama by placing its characters as students at Tokyo‑3"s Nerv School, overseen by Principal Gendō Ikari and teacher Misato. The roster features three distinct Rei "sisters," the EVA‑01 mobile suit reworked as the school bully Evanchō, and Jet Alone turned into JA‑ko, a shy android girl presented as a hidden character. Ryuusuke Hamamoto designed the characters, sparking four‑panel gag manga serialized in Monthly Shōnen Ace, Newtype, Dengeki Hobby Magazine and Figure Oh. Petit Eva also launched merchandise ranging from super‑deformed figurines to limited‑edition Doritos corn chips. Fans can also enjoy exclusive art books and collectible keychains for all ages.
