Mio Miyamasu and Arata Kishimo, high‑school classmates who have known each other since childhood, share a bond. Mio secretly loves Arata but never musters the courage to say it aloud. When their mutual friend Madoka wonders if Mio is in love with Arata, Mio hesitates and tells Madoka to follow her own heart instead. Later, while the pair visit a fortune‑teller, Arata spots an odd sight and attempts to pull Mio out of the shop—much to her irritation. As Mio starts doubting their relationship, a heated quarrel breaks out between them. That evening, burdened by guilt, Mio steps into the rain to apologize and confess her feelings to Arata. Yet an unforeseen mishap on the way turns everything for Mio upside down.
