The parties convene at the family cemetery to negotiate. Alois insists that every spirit be sent to Hell Valley for rebirth, while the ghosts seek answers about Agate's pain. To spare her further hurt, they choose to depart. Before leaving, they reveal their memories to Alois in hopes he uncovers clues. When he views the recollection of a woman named A Zhu, another child called Lv collapses; Alois feels drained and the urgency intensifies. The weight of unresolved sorrow presses on him, urging swift action and he resolves to investigate.
