Luo Xiaohei is a young creature that usually appears as a small black feline. While he once roamed the woods unimpeded, progressive logging and human expansion pushed him to seek a new refuge. Scavenging through urban alleys, the little cat struggled until he met Feng Xi, another monster who escorted Xiaohei to a secluded island home to a handful of beasts. Delighted at what he believed was his new sanctuary, Xiaohei cohabited with the islanders briefly before Wuxian, a Guild executor, appeared on the shore chasing Feng Xi.
Feng Xi and his allies vanished via teleportation, leaving Xiaohei and Wuxian stranded. Despite Xiaohei's refusal to aid the man who threatened his companions, Wuxian compelled the black cat to accompany him back to the Guild. On this uncertain trek, Xiaohei encountered a fresh view of how humans and monsters coexist amid a swiftly transforming world. His journey reshapes his understanding of coexistence and the fragile balance between species.
