Rei Hitoma is my name, and I consider myself a misanthrope because of past hurt. When I expected that my new teaching post in the mountains would offer a calm, refreshing setting, I discovered that this institution caters to half‑humans aspiring to become fully human. A mermaid, a werewolf, a rabbit and a bird now sit in the courtyard under my supervision.
