When Subaru Natsuki steps out of the convenience store, he never imagines being ripped from his ordinary life and hurled into a fantasy realm in the bustling city streets. The bewildered teen"s prospects look bleak; shortly after arriving, he is ambushed by a group of thugs. With only a grocery bag and an unusable phone in hand, he is mercilessly beaten. Luckily, a striking woman named Satella—hot on the trail of someone who stole her emblem—is passing by and stumbles upon Subaru, rescuing him from the attackers. Grateful for the kindhearted savior, Subaru agrees to aid her quest; later that evening he locates the item she seeks. Unbeknownst to them, a far darker presence shadows their steps, and mere minutes after retrieving the emblem, Subaru and Satella are viciously slain. Yet Subaru awakens instantly to a familiar tableau—facing the same thugs, reuniting with Satella—where the mystery deepens as events loop back on themselves, repeating in a haunting, amidst the swirling turmoil.
