On a frosty Christmas night, Tyltyl and Mytyl sat inside their house. Usually they would be swept up in holiday cheer, yet their mother had fallen ill. That night they stayed awake, restless and sleepless, when a peculiar, liquid‑like spirit named Berylune burst through the window, announcing that our world is not all there is and that the stars hold hidden doors. Thus Tyltyl and Mytyl, together with a host of spirits and their pets, set out on an adventure to locate the blue joy‑bird and rescue their mother while snow fell outside and the lights flickered. They journeyed through bizarre, marvelous realms filled with echoes of forgotten lullabies, ultimately confronting the darkness spirit to achieve their elusive aim.
