Haru Yoshioka, a high‑school student, grows weary of the daily grind.
One day she saves Prince Lune of the Cat Kingdom from being hit by a truck.
In gratitude, the Cat King gifts her "presents" and invites her to his realm to marry Lune.
Because Haru cannot communicate properly with the cats, they mistakenly believe she has accepted the marriage.
While contemplating escape, a mysterious voice directs her to find the Cat Bureau.
Soon after she reaches the bureau, a swarm of cats seizes her and carries her to the Cat Kingdom together with a Bureau officer.
The bureau"s owner, Baron Humbert von Gikkingen, follows closely to ensure their safety.
As Haru delves deeper into the kingdom"s life, she becomes more cat‑like; realizing that without rediscovering herself she could turn into a cat forever, her journey ultimately leads to self‑discovery and returns her as a more confident person.
