The Children of the Arrival: Complete Edition contains a significant amount of new video material that was missing from the original version, as well as about a thousand altered scenes. This adds a total of 26 minutes to the film. Some of the new scenes provide a more in-depth look at Geostigma, the story of Denzel and Cadge, as well as an extended version of the clash between Cloud and Sephiroth. The Japanese edition contains a new ending track by Kensuke Himuro titled "Safe and Sound" with additional lyrics from My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way. The track replaces Himuro"s previous composition "Calling" from the original version of the film. However, in the North American version, the song "Calling" was not replaced.
